This project aims to reactivate the site at the north tip of Onondaga Lake, specifically to embrace its
characteristic of periodic flooding and to build ecological resilience. The site is an extension of the already
existing greenbelt, located in between the mixture of industrial and commercial areas. The goal of this
project is not to resist the flood but to accept and finding ways to celebrate it as tourist attraction.
Furthermore, the project aims to become a solution to the rising water elevation and pollution due to climate change and human activities. Through specific site studies on the rising waterlevel and pollution status of the lake, this project can become an apparatus for measuring and purifying existing condition. As a result, this project seeks to celebrate the flooding lake while introducing a hybrid system with continuous folding surfaces.
